Each year, just before Christmas, our choirs present our Lessons and Carols service with the senior choir, junior choir and bell choir taking part. The service consists of Bible readings, telling the Christmas story, interspersed with congregational singing of Christmas carols and choir anthems celebrating the birth of Christ.
At our last Christmas Pageant, people were standing in line to take part, both children and adults. The Christmas story was told in an illuminating and, at times, humorous way and a great time was had by all.
On Christmas Eve, we hold two services. The early service at 5 p.m. is our Family Service, followed at 7 p.m. by our Candlelight Service. This is a time of coming together to worship and thank God for sending our Saviour into the world.
This year, there will be one evening service only at 7 p.m. There will be a carol sing prior to this service at 6:30 p.m.
On the Sunday before Easter, we enter the church carrying palm branches, commemorating Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, less than a week before His crucifixion.
Easter Sunay is the most important day in the church year. It is the day that God raised His Son, Jesus, from the dead. Because of this, we who call Him Lord, are also raised to eternal life through Him.
Each June, our congregation comes together to worship in our country church, our Chapel of Ease, St. Thomas Dover. This worship service is followed by our church picnic, with games, a cemetery crawl and lots of fun.
The last Sunday of our church year is the last Sunday in November and is also the anniversary of our coming together in 2017 - Holy Trinity, St. Paul's and our Chapel of Ease, St. Thomas Dover to form the parish of Holy Trinity/St. Paul's
