History of Bazaar

The Bazaar at Holy Trinity/St.Pauls started many years ago, we believe that in 1875 the women of the church (called The Ladies' Aid Society) obtained the Church Property prior to May 1st, 1875, by fundraising and although this fundraising does not call it a Bazaar, we believe they earned these funds, in this manner.

Then during the 1920s an evening group known as the Holy Trinity Sewing Circle, raised funds and held a Bazaar in the rooms above the stores on King Street West, in the vicinity of Grays' China Hall.

In 1936 the ladies of the church now known as "Holy Trinity Women's Organization made quilts and many other articles for the Bazaar, many long afternoons were spent quilting in the Parish Hall.

Bringing us up to more recent years.

In 1971 in the old parish hall the Bazaar was convened by Mrs. Hannah Fisher.

1972 Mrs. Dianne Griffith and Mrs. Elaine Wilcox convened.

The official name of the Bazaar went from The Christmas Fair in 1971 to Winter Wonderland Bazaar as we know it now.

Many thanks to the 2019 Bazaar committee and to those who frequented this successful day. The Bazaar has changed in many ways over the years with various venues, and themes. There probably isn't a person in our church who hasn't taken their turn in helping make the Bazaar a success.

You were involved if:

You donated items or money.

You came to shop.

You came to the luncheon.

You helped parking cars.

You physically worked the day of the Bazaar.

You ALL helped; we are thankful to you as we are getting better every year.
