What We Believe

What We Believe

At Holy Trinity/St. Paul’s, we believe that faith is an important part of everyone’s life and journey. We are a people who seek to live as the light of Christ in our community, country and the world.

As a people who live as the light of Christ:

Our mission is to reach out in word and deed to meet the spiritual and physical needs of those around us, with Jesus as our example.

As a people who are growing in faith and love:

Our mission is to strengthen each other in our Christian walk through study, sharing our stories, prayer and worship. We actively participate in our spiritual growth and the nurturing of each other as we journey in faith together.

As a people who find our strength in God:

We realize we can accomplish more of lasting value when we are living and working under the guidance of God, through the Holy Spirit. We seek that guidance through regular prayer, meditation and in being active in our faith community.

Five Marks of Mission

Our diocese is committed to living the Five Marks of Mission adopted by the Anglican Communion:
  • To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom.
  • To teach, baptize and nurture new believers.
  • To respond to human need by loving service.
  • To seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation
  • To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth
