Welcome!

We’re so glad you’re here.

At Holy Trinity St Paul's we pride ourself at being a safe, accessible, and inclusive space for all who enter our doors.

Our building has gone through many upgrades over the years.

  • Our Sanctuary is wheelchair accessible via a front-door ramp on Selkirk Street.

  • We have added a sound system to amplifying speaking volume during services for the hearing impaired

  • We have equipped our four unisex bathrooms with grab bars for greater accessibility

  • Added an electric push door button on the door leading to parish hall rear door (by the main office)

  • We are a scent-free building to support those with sensitivities.

May grace and peace be with you always.

Meet Our Team

The Rev. Maya-Mele Okazaki
Parish Administrator

Maya-Mele maintains her dual citizenship having been born and raised on Solihull, England, and immigrating to Canada with her family. Her passion for organization led to over 25 years’ experience in executive administration in both the corporate and non-profit worlds.

Outside of work, Maya-Mele has over 30 years of International Missionary and outreach experience resulting in the co-founding of Together In Christ, India; Lead Missionary/speaker to Africa, and affectionately being awarded the title ‘Mother to Many Nations’.

Her love for writing, speaking and education continues to drive the search for new things to learn, and adds to the numerous certificates held in the fields of International humanities/humanistic studies from diverse universities.

In short, her passion and love for Christ, the Globe and life propels her daily to rise and set with more love and growth than the day before.

Rev Bill Interim

The Rev. Bill Strang
Interim

Bill Strang has been an ordained priest for over 30 years. He has served as the rector of St. John's Thamesford with Christ Church Lakeside, as well as the rector of Christ Church, Amherstburg.

Since his (semi) retirement he has been serving as an interim priest for several parishes, and is now with us at Holy Trinity/ St. Paul's  for the second time.

He is married, with three children, and one grandchild. He also has three fur babies, two cats and one dog.

Rev. Bill is available after our Sunday morning worship for conversation.

The Rev. Elaine Wilcox
Deacon

Elaine has been a member of the Anglican Church her entire life and Holy Trinity for over 48 years. Retiring as a Registered Nurse in 1994, she volunteered her time with Holy Trinity Anglican Church focusing on Pastoral Care and visiting shut-ins. With increased concern regarding Pastoral care being recognized as a ministry, she felt a calling to Ordination as a Deacon in the church.

After over 3 years of study at Canterbury College, Windsor and a 6 month internship at her home church, she was Ordained to the Diaconate in June 2002 with Pastoral Care responsibilities. Her efforts are to be resourceful in any way she is able – such as new parishioners, groups within the community and she is open to concerns or new ideas.

Chris Peltier
Treasurer

Having run my own business for many years, I am well versed at book keeping and have often been asked to be the Treasurer for various organizations that I have been involved with.

In so doing I have learned to use several different accounting software programs and always find navigating through a new accounting program an interesting challenge.

Being Treasurer for Holy Trinity/St. Paul’s has been one of those challenges and I am thoroughly enjoying it. In my spare time I am learning the ins and outs of living on a farm and after having lived most of my life in Toronto, this too can present its own challenges. But again, I am enjoying it all and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Meet Our Music Ministry Team

Brian Sweetman
Organist, Music Director

Brian R. Sweetman has been a Director of Music at Holy Trinity/St. Paul's since 2005. He has previously served churches in Windsor, Essex County and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

He holds a CRCCO designation from the Royal Canadian College of Organists.

Hedy Rempel
Pianist, Choir Director, Hand Chime Choir Director, Treble Choir Director

Through the years, I have enjoyed accompanying  both vocal and instrumental students and fellow Christians on the piano. Conducting and singing in choirs has always been a passion of mine.

I have a deep desire for children: that they hear and learn about our wonderful God and Savior, Jesus Christ, and one of the ways is through singing. Their ministry to the church is vital as we learn new songs and reflect on God's love and care for us.

Beth Myers
Handbell Choir Director

Music has always been an important part of my life, whether it's singing in a choir, in musical theatre, or doing solo work. Many years ago, I discovered the beauty of playing hand bells which are not only fun to play but are a wonderful way to share the beautiful music that God has inspired.

We were so blessed to have our three-octave set of handbells donated to us. If you would like to try them, we always need ringers. You don't have to read music but it's an asset; we can teach you what you don't know yet. Come join us!
